GENE DELIVERY FUNCTIONAL NANOMEDICINES
The Functional Nanomedicine Lab is developing nano-delivery system that can effectively deliver gene-based therapeutic drug such as siRNA and mRNA. In general, in order to overcome the limitations of intracellular delivery of nanomedicines such as low efficient endocytosis mechanism, our lab has developed a technology called nano-drill technology that can deliver nanomedicine directly through the cell membrane. The technology demonstrates significantly higher delivery efficiency than general nanomedicines. Using the developed technology, we are developing mRNA vaccines and siRNA-based functional nanomedicines for the treatment of cancer and immune-related diseases.
NATURAL SUBSTANCES BASED FUNCTIONAL NANOMEDICINE FOR CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY AND IMMUNE-RELATED DISEASES.
The Functional Nanomedicine Lab is developing nanostructures using peptide and protein based natural materials. The developed nanostructures maintain the therapeutic functions of the natural materials; while significantly reducing toxicity and improving stability. The developed natural materials-based nanomedicines are being optimized to be developed as therapeutic agents for cancer and immune-related diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis.
